OK guys, here are the 3 latest creations from the PWD Lab. The first is my eldest sons pro stock. Meet Cyclone: And this my middle sons pro mod car. I was real diplease with how our flames turned out(Fuzzy), but it's my fault, I get impatient when painting. Any way, meet Chaos: And I was so impressed with the design my wife came up with for her pink car Bubblicious, I had to copy her. She says I should name it CopyCat, but I had some chrome paint and wanted to see how it would look on a PWD car. Meet my modified car Shimmer: Got one more to build and still have a ton of axle and wheel prep to do. I hope I can get it all done in time. Less than 4 weeks to go! See ya Scott Beakerboys

Scott, Cars look awesome! How'd you get that finish on the top of Chaos? Got one more to build and still have a ton of axle and wheel prep to do. I hope I can get it all done in time. Less than 4 weeks to go! ARRRRRRGGGGGG I feel your pain! We've only got wheels and axles done on one out of the 7 or 8 we're bringing! It's now down to 3 1/2 weeks! Why do I get the feeling that I'm going to be sitting in the Holiday Inn on Friday Aug 29th polishing axles!!! (Think they'd let me set up the test track in the lobby??) Steve 3CubDad

Steve 3CubDad Thanks 3 cub, Chaos was sprayed with Rust-olem silver metalic then black gloss flames then clear. I sprayed the clear too soon and the flames got fuzzy. Thought about redoing but dont have enough TIME! See ya Scott Beakerboys

Thought I'd give you guys an updated showing of my Bluegrass cars, plus a look at the latest pic of my metallic grey car, that I've named FahrvergLubin (thanks to Mr.Slicks' suggestions); First car, 10Pesos (formerly known as Blu-N-Wyte) I took off the white wheels, put on some black ones with graphite instead of oil, did some more alignment. Runs much much better Car #2, Indycar. It now sports the de-oiled white wheels instead of the Awana wheels Car #3, FahrvergLubin. Just got it from the sign maker, and the clearcoat is drying. Won't be able to touch it for a couple of days I should be able to get wheels and axles on it this weekend and spend some time on the alignment board, then the test track. I've even got some Toobs to send them in Lee

Lee,
I really like the look of the Indy car with the white wheels! It looks fast sitting still!
Are all three stocks?

All the cars look great!!!
We are starting on my sons Stocker. It will be KID EGO. That will be it finally. We should be wrapped up by the middle of the month. I'll post the completed pictures when we are done. Looking foward to the competition. It's going to be some good racing that day.

Lee "10 Pesos" is very creative. you know if that were a U.S. coin you would be breaking the law I hope all that you break is the track record! BTW: what's the purpose of the set screws? & how many are on the rear?

Hey Sapp, didn't realize giving a coin a ride on a pinewood car was a Federal offense . Guess you'd better not scrutinize my Pennyracer too closely. Concerning the set screws, 10Pesos has three of them, two you can see, and one underneath up front, that you can't. I'm using them to help hold the axles in place, so's they don't slide out or allow the axles to twist, upsetting the alignment position (I'm using the bent nail alignment method). Because there's so little wood left where the rear axles go into the body in the rear, to "grab" the axles, I needed something to help hold them. The screws don't need a lot of torque put on them to work either. To be honest, the two screws you see should have been on the bottom, but I goofed when drilling the holes. I thought I had the car upside down Lee PS; got the wheels on FahrvergLubin

Very cool car !! I love the name !! Someone needs to work on a black 55' Chevy so we can have a cool re-enactment of the race scene in "American Graffiti" !!
