Scott,
I think you have your axles too loose on the 3 Stock cars.
Just kidding, I think they all look great. Looking forward to seeing them run at BGN.
Keep up the good work.

On no, Looks like we are all in trouble. Docb has been in his secret pinewood lab building FAST cars. I was kinda hoping you would have forgotten about Bluegrass so I could catch you now I'm going to have to double my efforts just to keep up. Amazing designs. I really like the one on the far right. I have always like cars that had offset wheel hubs, just never been able to make them look right from side to side. I haven't mastered the wood working skills yet but you DocB definately have. Just one favor to ask: Don't beat me too bad on race day....... ok? Scott Beakerboys

I think Im further behind than anyone. I have 7 cars that are cut, and weighted, but the vacation threw me off, plus remodeling my workshop while I had some time off from work. Heres what I have so far. Hopefully, Ill get them sanded, and painted in the next week. I know that Ill need at least 2 weeks for tuning. The only finished cars that I have ready are Speed shop 1, and 5 oz of pain. I know they look pretty rough right now, but some of it is burn marks from the poured lead, and some of it is polyester body filler. Please bare with me. Ill post more pics in the near future. Also the pics show my partly finished workshop at home.

Looks like some of you believe in the "SAFETY IN NUMBERS" con- cept ;D I've "only" got two, one of which you've already seen and this one, a new Indy car Those of you that can produce these things in "volume" are amazing, and to have them all be competitive is even more so!! Lee

When I first heard that the race was the "Blugrass" Nationals, I started planning this car. My painting skills still have a LOOOOONG way to go compared to a lot of you guys! So I went a different direction...... Someone else took the "deliverance" monikor, which was its working name. So I renamed my first modified car the Blugrass Gnat! (If anyone's interested, I'll post the build photos in a different thread so as not to hijack this one!) All that's left is a little "tuning". (sorry, couldn't resist) Now to finish the other 5 cars! Steve, that thing is AWESOME!!! VERY cool! And to make matters even better, it even looks FAST! The skill level of so many of the folks on here is truly phenomenal, it's makes me feel kind of embarrassed about my cars. I just about spit up all over my keyboard when Scott (Beakerboys) said "Building, shaping and painting comes pretty easy and I can knock one out pretty quick, its the wheel and axle work that takes me so long." Give me wheels and axles to prep any time, it's this painting stuff that's gonna be the death of me! Keep posting pictures everyone, it's great to be able to see all the great shapes and design ideas! Steve

The thing I like most about this league is the fact that all you guys are great builders and are so willing to share. I have raced in organizations where people didn't want the other guy to know what he was doing. This thread is a perfect example of how you guys have stepped up to the plate and and been so forth coming with pics and advise and I applaud all of you for it! ;D DocB has some awesome looking cars in the works and I am certain they will be Fast! Lucky 13, thanks for this race and this board! You definitely are a top notch guy and all your work is greatly appreciated. Also I need to mentions that your cars look fantastic! Dapine is cranking out some awesome rides! Your new pro stock and limited cars are Awesome! But I'll have to say my favorite so far of your stable is Mrs. Dapines "BOO" car. The graphics are way cool! I like the little alien guy. He's COOL! DerbyDoc looks like he's got it going on with those 7 new bodies. I know it won't be long before Tory has some super slick paint jobs on them. Hey Tory, How about dropping them so we can catch you. Knothead, that new Indy car is AWESOME! I wish I could whittle like that! ;D And 3cub, That banjo car Bluegrass Gnat is just way to COOL! It looks like you could pick it up a strum a little tune like Dueling Banjos. Here's what I imagine it would sound like: www.orbitfiles.com/download/id455539449.htmlThat car is WAY COOL! I can't wait to see it run. Now, you may ask what I have been up to this past week. Well I haven't got much in the way of bodies done, been working on wheels and axles all week and just about have finished those for the cars I have built. I did get started on the next HR66 which I made out of Balsa and Pine. I cut a Pine chassis and then shaped a Balsa body to the top and glued on. The incredible thing about the Balsa as I was able to get the COM at 1/2 inch and pack 5 1/4 oz. back around the rear axle! I don't know how stable she's going to be but I'm real excited about this one. Here's some pics of the car in progress: Though I haven't been sanding and filing and shaping and painting my wife has. She had so much fun building the first car Beakerette, she wanted to another one. I am very proud of her as this car in my opinion turned out really good. She's having trouble though coming up with a name. She is thinking about the Pink Panther or Pretty in Pink. Any suggestions from you guys would be cool. Here's some pics: Alright guys, back to the Pine wood Lab, got some tuning and building to do. Only 5 weeks to go! See Ya Scott Beakerboys
