Ok, so HOW does everyone plan on getting their cars safely to the BGN? (not in the mail, but in the car!) I mean, I love the Toob, but I really can't afford to buy 10 of them just to get my cars to Ky. I've gotten pretty good at packing up one or two cars for shipment to and from the races. Has anyone thought about how they're going to pack up 6-10, (or I've even heard 20! ) cars so that they don't get damaged rolling around the back of the car? (hmmmmm, a wife and four kids, each holding 2 cars for a 3 1/2 hour drive ? that would probably be worse than bubble wrap!) Just wondering if anyone has any ideas or suggestions. I've got 7 for sure, and maybe an eighth. Steve

Steve Your wife I'm sure has some left over shoe boxes from her weekend adventures down at the Mall. ;D If she bought some boots, you can fit 3 cars in that box. They always make great Derby Haulers to and from the race. They stack together really nice and fit in the trunk of car. Also tape the boxes together once you load the cars inside. They sit flat and don't tip over very easy. I roll of toilet paper is a great way to pad the cars in the box. It is very soft and will not harm the paint and wheels. It is much cheaper than bubble rap. Bubble rap will sometimes stick to the paint and turn all your hard work upside down. I will try and get some pictures to show some ideas Hope this can help you

The tungsten will show up on the Xray. I'm sure David could also shed a little light on flying too. Phil

I have taken my cars on planes many times and have had zero problems. They haven't even ever made me open them up.

Hey Carolina Gravity. The Van Halen car is awesome. That thing looks mean. All the cars look top notch, and I have a feeling that you will do very well. Good luck

Good luck Thanks, Tory - Eruption is my first attempt at a needle car. It has been quite the experience. My question to everyone is, what is the best thing to use to hold the wheels on? Right now, I use the little earing backing (flat one with 2 little hoop thingies). They work OK but they don't hold good enough. Any ideas?

I've got 7 for sure, and maybe an eighth. Steve Hey 3CD I use a card board box big enough to fit 5-6 cars. I had a custom size piece of pick n pluck foam cut to the size of the box...then picked and plucked so the cars fit in snug and won't move around. I did this last year for LIMA also and the cars stay very stable. I plucked more under the wheels so the wheels were hanging free in the box and the body of the car was supported by the foam. Would work great in the car. I carried the box on the plane and put it on the floor and held it with my feet. Also for anyone flying with cars for the first time... they made me open the box after it went through xray.....so be prepared....The nice thing about the way i did it was that the box top opens, they can see the cars and you can easily pull them out of the box without damaging them or taking too much time in the xray line.

Right now, I use the little earing backing (flat one with 2 little hoop thingies). They work OK but they don't hold good enough. Any ideas? Carolina, Two suggestions on holding the wheels on: Go to Michaels or Hobby Lobby and look in the jewlery making section and get what they call ear ring "bullets". They are kinda hour glass shaped and have a good shape to them for friction against the wheel. You will need to prep the small end with sandpaper and polish to get crimp marks off. Then rough up the tip of your axle and the big end of the "bullet" and either jb weld them together or epoxy together. Works really well for alignment adjustment as you now have a little handle to turn your axles. Just be careful with you width of the car. You may have to trim them down to stay under the 2 3/4 width rule. The second suggestion is to get some teflon rod from www.mcmasters.com or www.smallparts.com. It comes in different diameters and usually can buy in 3 ft length. Just drill hole through center of rod with pin vise and cut and shape to the size you need. You can then epoxy to the axle just like the ear ring bullets. Hope this helps. Scott Beakerboys

Well, looks like the little lady has been at it again. She was so thrilled with how Bubblicious ran, she decided to build another. This time BeakerGirl Racing is jumping it to the arena with the big boys. Meet Fare Lady, her new pro mod: I just can't seem to convince her to paint anything put pink. See ya Scott Beakerboys

Nice looking car, I really like the wheels. Are they custom made or can you buy them already cut like that?
