Who's in ? I've got 3 proxy cars (limited, stock, modified). I also took Warren up on his offer to test BGN cars and sent in 7 !! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that a few of them pan out, if not Lucky 13

Wasabi got a fresh application of lube and is ready to make the journy back to MN. Not sure what else I'll have time to tinker with.

Team Mad Max! will be there hopefully with four Limited cars... - The "back from the dead" newly repaired Groovy Greenie (I really hope the wheels don't fall off!)
- Sushi (hopefully it won't act quite as alive as last month and will refrain from "swimming" down the track!)
- The Emperors New Clothes
- As-of-yet-unnamed orange car
My daughter Ashlyn wants to get her feet wet in the Pinewood Derby World and will hopefully (if the paint/clear ever dries) be making her debut as "Dainty Dancer" racing a Limited car named "Pretty in Pink" (she's been dancing five or more days a week for 10 years, since she was two, thus her team name, and pink... well... 'cause she's a girl!). There's a reason the Emperor has no clothes... I can't paint worth a d**n!!! ;D Steve B.

I will be back this month with Saske (although haven't even opened the box from last month) and will also have a new Limited and Pro-Mod. I was going to save them for BGO but what the heck For some strange reason I seem to be scrapping more cars than I turn out lately. They don't' even make it to the paint booth unless they have something on the track!

Good Luck to all racers this month.

I sent in 3 mods. My first race was the last Wirl race. This is my first PWD race. I hope I shaved some time off my big axle cars. I like it the PWD has the big axle mod class. Now maybe you guys won't beat me so bad. Kenny

Hey Guys,
I'm posting from a hotel in Pensacola, FL. Seven of us in all -- me, my wife and two kids, a friend for each of my kids, and the dog, are in route to Orlando, where we'll be vacationing for the next five days. I wasn't able to get my cars ready for the August race before we left, so I brought them along to finish and mail during the trip. I just finished prepping 4 cars and will be mailing them in the morning.
Wasabi got a tune-up, Tabasco got fresh lube, Senpai got a MAJOR overhaul, and I'm sending in Ichiban to play with the big boys in Pro-mod. Ichiban has been running at WIRL for the past 7 months. I sent her to GA last December, and just last week I got her back to re-lube. Now that I have my TOOBs shipping damage is far less of a concern, so I figured, why not send her to PWD.
I also brought along a crate full of wheels and wheel prep polishes and tools including an electric power drill. With so few days left before the BGNs, I may be polishing wheels while riding roller coasters.
I'm not sure if I'll be on line Saturday for the race or in route home. I may try to time the return trip so that I can stop for lunch at a place with a wifi connection. If not, I'll be calling Lucky at race time to give me a blow by blow over the phone.
Good luck to all.
Steve H.

Man Steve, I thought I had the PINEWOOD BUG bad. You going to make your wife drive so you can prep wheels and axles on the way home? A 400 watt inverter will work well for your drill.
I like the roller coaster idea, not sure how well your bores will look though.
See Ya
Scott
