I have made changes to the X-31 bearing wheel kits that Derby Monkey is offering. Instead of just 3 wheels with dual bearings you will also get a 4th wheel with no bearings for a spare. In addition to the spare wheel, I will also be including a steer adjuster tool that aids in the installation of the axles as well as helping the racer make small adjustments to the axles for steering. The price will remain the same. I have had a lot of possative feedback on the steer tool and it's just a nice addition to the kits. The new kits will look like this..... Beaker,
The tool is a great tool and I use it a good bit on my bearing car. If Ian does not get a picture on here today I will, but I am not sure if the tool will be exactly the same style, I am sure it will function the same.

The only difference is i now make them out of aluminum instead of the brass pictured. Thank you 5 J's for the link. Ian

So it looks like the tool would slide over the axle, then apply pressure to bend? Are you doing this with the wheel mounted or off the axle?

Ian Ian, I use drill blanks for axles, which are very hard/brittle, and don't bend unless you heat them. DO you think this tool would hold up to heating a drill blank cherry red and bending it? Or would I melt the tool?

Scott, If you heated the drill blank till it was cherry red, then slid the tool over the axle to give it a bend, the tool would hold up just fine. you are also correct, the tool has a hole in it at .048" so it can slide over the small part of my axles. This allows for a nice tight bend and also you can tap on the end of the tool to push a axle into the body without damaging the smaller dia. that the bearing will ride on. Hope this helps? Ian

Ian Sweet, I need one! I want to try your axles as well. Send me a PM on cost and payment info, or do I need to go thru Derby Monkey? Thanks
