Major Disclaimer: I am not a statistician but believe this to be a fairly accurate experiment. I did a retrospective analysis of the differences between the new track at PWD and last month at WIRL using Wasabi and Bondmobile as controls (according to Proquest, he made no changes between events and believes Wasabi to on of his most consistent cars, I also made no changes to Bondmobile). The difference is that the PWD track is .06 seconds faster (rounded to the 100th of a second). Here is a break down of the data:
Both Wasabi and Bondmobile had no modifications between the 12/22 WIRL and the 1/12 PWD.
Wasabi WIRL average 3.0543 PWD average 2.9900 Difference .0643
Bondmobile WIRL average 3.1259 PWD average 3.0686 Difference .0573
Average Difference of Wasabi and Bondmobile .0643 + .0573 = .0608 2
These were my findings. Anyone agree or disagree? I hope it helps.

I'll agree with your figures. It probably was around .06 difference this month.

: I'll agree with your figures. It probably was around .06 difference this month. Phil I think somethings brewing over at WIRL, so if anyone is running the same car there for january , it would be cool to see the difference. Parrot, looks like the new PWD track is as great as the last one, it looked very similar in times from what I could tell.

Hey Fellow Racers:
Earlier today I started a fairly sizable post in response to Parrot's question about the new PWDRacing track vs the prior one. Just as I finished the post my computer crashed and I lost the post before it went up. Don't have time to retype the whole thing now, so here it is in a nutshell:
Wasabi, Fridge, Humerus and Wishbone all raced here at PWDRacing in December 07 and Jan 08 with little or no changes to the cars from one month to the next. I believe the first three were only re-lubed -- nothing else. Wishbone was left in MN from December and probably didn't even get new lube. The times ranged from .008 slower in January to .0171 slower in January with an average of around .013. This is an approximation. When I have a little more time I'll calculate the exact differences. My guess is that if your car ran .01 or so slower in January it has not really gotten any slower.
Hope this helps.

Check out the results for the accuracy of the divisions that the cars are listed. . . I hope that is the only flub for the reports. I'll check into using the datafile from the races with a new version of the report engine.
