Hello! I was very recently asked if I could teach a course at the local council's training event. . . . training.nsbsa.org/info/UniversityOfScouting.aspxThe specific course is described as: CS154 Pinewood Derby Workshop - An expert shares techniques for building fast and cool looking cars.
I'm wondering what I should use for topics and how far should I go on the various topics. . . . They say that I will be able to use my laptop and a projector.

I would check out the 3 downloads that Randy Lisano has posted on GrandPrix Race Central. grandprix-race-central.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=5The first one (I need to update it a little) is the one I put together for the parents in our Pack, and it could probably be tweaked by you for your group and rules fairly easily. I tweaked it a little last year and used it during a District Roundtable presentation. Note that my preso is not copyrighted, but does include copyrighted pics used with permission of Randy Davis / MaxV. No time to look through it now (in between meetings at work), but my suggestion would be to start there. Bubba
