How does one go about using headless axels? How does the wheel stay on? Thanks in advance.

You have to make a retainer for the end of the axle. I have made some out of Teflon rod before.

Wow. Cool! Thanks ZZ racing. Do you use crazy glue or epoxy to fix it in place or does it require a cold connection of some sort?

like ZZ I make a Teflon retainer, coned on the wheel side. Let the end of the axel protrude beyond the retainer and put a small glob of 5 minute epoxy over the axel and against the outer end of the retainer. It will not bond to the Teflon but will keep it in place. An alternate way is to use a short length of shrink tubing, or any tight fitting tubing instead of the epoxy.

I have always used Teflon or Delrin as the head and then used tubing to hold it in place
