For the January Stock Division Race, I was going to run SLT-R1 (Red Stocker) and a new car. I must have misplaced R1 during the temporary move to my apartment. Darn! I ran Dale's Stocker SLT-SW (I won the car in 2011) and it ran well with non-inverted 1.0 grams. The new car hopefully will get faster. It is not finished. There is a big hole on top right now. I got carried away with reducing the body. I think the body weighed 11 grams before putting in weights. It is running 0.8 gram wheels with a very tight bore to axle clearance on all three wheels. More speed will be required if Z pulls out Hillbilly Hot Rod and anybody else who brings in a fast stocker. Racers told me that Z's car can just smoke down the track. Murph

ZZ is certainly fast, I know he found speed in stock at the end of last season. You, Spacewalker, ZZ, and GS1 will certainly be at the top this season in stock.

You think you've got troubles with your stocker, let me tell you some problems. I don't have a track but took the car to Proquest the other night for test and tune. Got back home and placed the car on the work bench. Next morning I find it laying on the floor with a broken rear wheel. The cat knocked it off the bench. Replaced the wheel and was tuning on the tuning table when I knocked it off. Can't blame the cat this time. Went to my Grandson's Pinewood race and thought I'd bring along the stocker just to have it weighed on their good scales. Found it weighted 148g's so today I had to reduce it to the correct weight. You know maybe with all these problems this car might turn out ok after all. Hope so anyway. See you guys at the races.

Texas - decent scales are usually on sale for $12 or so at Harbor Freight. And as the addiction gets worse you get several !

TT...great cat story...lol!!! You don't need a track to have fun. My test track is on race day! ($10) A couple years ago my sons car beat 3cubdad's ,3 boys at district and he has a track. If I can get a car to come in 4th I'm happy. You will drive'em crazy!!! I enjoy building cars and talking to all the good people involved in this hobby. I heard 3cubdad has been winning since we left. Next year I'm going to help some boys and see if we can change that. My next car I'm going to race is NTT (no test track) lol!!! Just have fun!!!

Cats must hate PWD Racing. MWD and Sporty had cats mess with their PWD efforts. Cats have come close to being shaved because of their influence. By the way, I was home this weekend and no R1. Must be in be at my apt in S Beloit. In Dallas and will be back at my apt this weekend. Sent from my DROID RAZR using proboards

Quadad, I went to Harbor Freight this last Sunday and picked up a new scale. I had been using my better halves hobby scale and it only went to tenths. Kind of tough digging out weights when you believe you've got the car tuned and ready.

Murph, from your posts your work must be in or around the Dallas area. Does your work ever bring you down here to Houston? If so give me a PM and I'll send you my cell number. I'd like to meet you sometime. I know there may be a chance in meeting you, Spacewalker and K-Racing at the Mid America, but if you get down this way and would like a good home cooked meal give me a call.
