Each racer needs to fill out a registration form! If there is no registration form in your box we are not always able to figure out what class or classes you want to run your cars in. It also holds up the start of the race as we have to figure out which car is which and what class it should be raced in.
Include with your cars a check or cash to cover the entry of the cars and return shipping! From now on if your package does not have the entry fees and/or return shipping the cars will not race unless arrangments have been made prior to the race. Also your cars will not be returned to you until we recieve return shipping costs.
Include a filled out return shipping label! If you do not include one, we then have to figure out where you want your cars shipped back to. From now on if there is no return shipping label included in your package we will be charging $5 to cover our time in figuring out where the package should be shipped and to help offset our costs. It will also delay the return of your cars at least a day. This adds time to our day and we do not want to hold up the shipping on other cars.
Please label each of your shipping containers! This allows us to put your cars back into the box they came out of. This makes sure that they are packaged the same way they came to us.
Label the bottom of each car with the cars name, class, and racers name! This can be put on the car with a label or written directly on the bottom of each car. This helps us make sure we are staging the proper car and also helps make sure that the car is placed back into the proper shipping container.
Shipping containers for cars need to be constructed to hold the car properly and need to be easy for us to repackage the car! There are several vendors that are selling shipping containers, they can be purchased from Spacewalkermodels, Derby Evolution, or DD4H. Please either use a container purchased from one of the vendors or build one very similiar to them. Using this type of container is the best way to ship your car. It is the safest and cheapest way to ship cars period! We are seeing cars come in that are bubble wrapped, placed in a box with foam shoved around them, and other various ways. It makes it very hard to repackage cars if they are shipped in that fashion. It also makes it so that they are more likely to have damage being shipped to us or when being returned.
Please take a moment to review the post made by 5Kids Racing on shipping it is the PWDRacing Recommended way to ship cars. His post covers many of the things talked about here. Here is a link to his post! pwdracing.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=shipping&action=display&thread=3427
By following this advice it makes things easier for us when unpacking cars, entering info into the computer, staging cars, packaging car for return shipping, editing photos, editing videos.
