Thought I'd share a new parts "discovery" with you guys. I "found" the hinges pictured below at a Hobby Store that specializes in RC airplanes. The typical application for them is to attach the flaps to the wings on an RC plane as shown in the little diagram. The next few pictures show how I am using them to provide for working doors on one of our Big Rig Cargo trailers. I attached them using SuperGlue only and they seem to be adhering and functioning very well (in spite of the small amount of glue that leaked over to the hinges and pins). Time permitting, I might apply the hinges to a couple of other locations on the Big Rig (i.e. tilt open hood?). Enjoy.

Bubba that's awesome. I'm not planning to build a big rig for the September race. It looks like way too much work to me. But those of you who have more than a little wood working skill and a little more creativity are really doing some impressive things. The final reveal is really going to be something. Good luck.

Steve H./ProQuest Thanks, Steve. We're trying to ride the fine line between giving away ideas that others might find useful on the one hand, but yet not giving away the "final reveal" early on the other. We're looking forward to seeing pictures of the fleet (and some race video!) ourselves.

Thanks for the help!!! I guess if you just do the low-boy style you may not need them for the rear doors, maybe the cab hinges so it can flip forwards to do the engine work when tuning. . .
