I was looking back on the older videos. Why were the times from the first half..........MPH numbers much faster than they are now? 221mph vs 170's mph? I know it's just a number, but why the big difference?

BSB,
I can not answer the question, but it could be that two different computers were used and the track distance info could have been entered different. The times would be consistant, but the scale MPH would be off.

I get that sort of thing when I forget to adjust the DISTANCE on the software setup after adding/dropping a section of track to fit in a specific room. (really messes with the track records)
The GPRM software uses three numbers to calculate the MPH.
The first is the TIME from the heat. The second is the DISTANCE that is entered in feet. The third is the SCALE which defaults to 1/25th but may be changed.

The race software that was used last month is the software that is set up for WIPR,which uses a piantedosi track. I assume that is why there is a difference. We will fix this for the next race.
