I am in final prep for our very first PWD workshop on Saturday! I have a list of "tips" typed up. I want to add websites where the scouts can go to get more info and to purchase supplies. Of course, I am including this website, Derby Talk, Max V, Derby Doc, and the info for Mr. Slick's heavy weights (going to try to get an order together for the weights-- I think that this is a MUCH smarter way to go, instead of trying to melt lead). Besides those listed above, are there any other website addresses that I should include on my info sheet? Most of these scouts have never done much to improve their cars, so I do not want to overwhelm them-- but I do want to give them as much info as will be helpful to them.
Thanks for the suggestion guys. If I am not put in jail for running over someone with my car (we have a little "controversy" going on in our pack and I am sooooooo sick of the politics interferring with the boys' activities) then I will be sure to put these sites on my hand outs. It looks like we are going to have a pretty good turn out at the workshop and I have heard from a couple of families that can not attend-- but they have both asked me for my written materials. I think that I will make my tip sheet available to everyone-- even those who could not attend the workshop.
Donelson.... who made your racing logo? It scares me. I like it! LOL! I want a scary looking logo (and if I am convicted of vehicular manslaughter then it will be appropriate. Maybe I can get a PWD league started in prision!).
