I have had several builders contact me and ask if they can enter multiple cars in the same division under different builder names ? The answer is, yes. You just need to make sure to fill out a separate entry form for each car with the appropriate builder name associated with the car !! If anyone has questions about this, please contact me, Thank you !!

And you thought I was scatter brained - just wait! ;D
By using different builder names you would get points for more than just one car. . . .
oops . . . took a nap and forgot to finish. . . .
The intent is to have each person have their own builder name. . . The normal practice is that kids/spouses would have their own builder names.
The idea is that no one person would take home all of the trophies at awards time. . . spread the hardware around.
The intent of allowing a person to race multiple cars is to allow the cars themselves to achieve the various point levels for individual car lifetime points. This really allows the cars to race more then the first year. A car becomes a "Classic" when it achieves 250 lifetime points. The 250 was based on the equivalent of 2 years of getting first place in it's divisions. . . .
Does that help?

I just wanted to apologize to everyone if I caused some confusion with my post !! I guess I should have been more specific with my explanation . The question/explanation was directed at situations like JKRacing, DocB, Go Bubba Go, DerbyDoc and others who have children and want to send their cars in to race. Basically to re-cap Warrens statement...(I'll use myself as an example) I race in limited every month. My sons both have their scout cars they want to send in and race next month, both cars fit the limited division rules. At this point I have 2 options. A. Send the cars in under the Lucky 13 race name. B. Let the boys pick their own race names and compete as separate racers. It's really up to the racer to make this discussion and either way is fine. What PWDR is trying to avoid (as Warren pointed out), is one racer sending in multiple cars under multiple names in one division and possibly taking all the awards at the end of the year. This is not technically against the rules at PWDR, but, it is not in the spirit or intent of the league !! Again, I apologize for any confusion on this subject that I may have caused and I hope this helps to clear it up !! Lucky 13

Greetings all:
Warren, Lucky and I spoke at length on the subject of builders entering several cars under one builder name, vs one builder entering several cars under different builder names. We want to know where the league members stand on the subject.
Currently, when a builder enters more than one car in a division in any given month, only his/her top placing car earns points that count toward determining the year end division champion. The purpose of allowing a builder to enter more than one car in a division, but only awarding points to the top placing cars, is to allow each builder to race as many cars as he/she wants, while at the same time preventing any one builder from taking more than one year-end award in any one division.
As Lucky said, there is no rule prohibiting a builder from entering multiple cars in the same division using different builder names for each car. For example, if you have a car and your son has a car (such as a scout car), you may enter both cars under your own builder name, or you may race your car under your builder name, and your son's car under his builder name. If you choose to race both cars under your builder name you will only get point for the car that places the highest. On the other hand, if each car races under a different builder name, then each car will receive points based on how it finishes, and potentially each car could win a year-end award (i.e., one of the top 3 places for the year).
What the league's founding fathers did not intend was for any one individual builder to create various builder names and send cars in under the different names in order to win more than one award in a class.
I think the issue can fairly be summarized as follows: Should one builder be allowed to send several cars to race in a division and potentially win more than one award in that division, or should we limit the number of awards any one builder can earn in any one division to (you guessed it) one? So, whatdoyousay, let's get the friendly debate going.
Before closing this typically long-winded message, I want to be clear that there is no wrong or right answer to this issue, and it certainly is not directed at anyone. It is simply a matter of determining how the league membership wants this matter handled in the future This is your league, help us make it as fun for you as it can be.
