;DSo we built two cars for our upcoming pack race- can't hardly tell a difference between the Weblo car and the one I worked on. Still have some final paint finishing and still need to clear coat- we are getting close!

Thanks for the Positive Feedback Everyone! Hello MOM! Welcome to the Board. In answer to your clear question: Liquitex Soluvar Gloss Varnish (Artistic Acrylic). It is a lacquer based acrylic. I'm very new to airbrushing (unlike some of the guys like F.A.S.T. & Lucky13 & Derbydoc) I just got my set for Christmas and this was our first try. A lot of the other guys are into urethanes and automotive stuff- I'm not ready yet. According to the guy at the art supply shop who has been airbrushing for 10+ years, this is the type of clear that can be used over just about anything through an airbrush. He said artists will use it over a canvas. We shall see how it turns out. On a side note: I've had previous experience and decent results with the clear from Montana Paints (rattle can) it's also an acrylic & dries very very fast! 3Cub- don't know who's will be faster yet- the guy that comes over to tune them hasn't stopped in yet ;D ;D Lucky- thanks for the advice on paints & technique. I did it just like you said
