Ever wonder what size a #44 bit was? Ever need to know what letter size bit to use to drill axle hole for a needle? Ever wanted to know what the metric or decimal conversion for a 3/16 drill bit is? Check this out. www.csgnetwork.com/drillsizeconvert.htmlI have found this very useful. Cya Scott Beakerboys

Scott, thanks for the link. Last year, I was in a local fabrication shop and noticed the drill size conversion chart on his wall in large print. I commented I would really like to find one in large print for my shop since my eyesight is so poor. He said jokingly "how much would you be willing to pay?" I told him...not sure? He then pulled one out from behind one of his cabinets and gave it to me. He told me a metal vendor came by his shop and gave him several for his use. It really is a much needed tool in a shop...just as important as a drill press. Ed

I guess Im pretty good at remembering most of the ones that I use. My problem is always looking for the drill bit size for taps. I use a lot of 10-32 and a few other size taps for attaching sheetmetal, but every now , and then I get an odd size. That chart is great.
