Hey Guys, I updated all the current record holders. Please check them out and make sure I haven't made any mistakes. I'm still trying to get a few pictures that I am missing, so I apologize to the racers who's cars aren't pictured.

Just wondering if any of the times recorded at the Lima Land Open were being considered in the current record holders? I know Fred set up the track and I see the points are recorded for the year. But if they counted, the record in Limited would be 2.954 and Stock would be 2.923, pro Stock would be 2.898 and modified would be 2.872. If you invite others to participate in the races, their results should be invited as well. The above records were set in September - I note that a new record for Dec 7th has made it to Pro mod already.

Aline: I believe none of the times were considered for records because it was a different track than the one used monthly at PWD. If I remember correctly, the track was a little faster than the one at PWD. The points were used because even though it was a different track, everyone ran on the same track. That is my understanding. ;D

I guess my point is that many of the current record holders were at the Lima race and were beaten - on the same track. I guess without racing on the regular pwd track it may be comparing apples and oranges.
Just wondering

I will try to address this the best I can guys. The Lima Land Open originally was only going to be a PWDRACING sanctioned event for the purpose of rules to be used for the classes that were raced. As the event got closer Warren and Scott realized that almost all of the regular PWD racers would be attending Lima, including themselves to help run the event and race. The decision was then made to cancel the regular monthly proxy race and move the points race to Lima. Most of the regular PWD racers planned on skipping the Sept. PWD race anyways to concentrate on Lima, so it made perfect sense to do this. So this is how the Lima Land Open came to be the PWD monthly points race. The problem with the times from Lima is that they were not set on PWDRACING's track, the track/timer used at Lima was Larry Reeds, so how could you have the PWD track record if you didn't race on PWD's track ? I know that Scott has talked to the Jewkes family and invited them to send in their cars to PWD too take a shot at the PWD track records and I'm positive that goes out to any other racers who would like to get in on the fun. I hope this clears it up and that everyone understands the reasoning.

That makes sense to me - I'm happy with the explanation - I know that every track has minor differences. Thanks for the reply

I would like to think of it as "Added to" rather then "reset" . . .

Just wanted to let everyone know I added pictures to the Jan. Top 3 and Current Record holder threads. Please check them out and let me know if I missed anything !! The pictures Warren took this month are excellent, couldn't have ask for anything better !!
On another note... JAC Racings car "Turbulence" was in the wrong class "Novice" and should have been in "Limited". This changed the Top 3 Limited and Novice cars as well as the Novice current record holder. I took care of it on my end and Warren will take care of it on his. Sorry for the confusion !!

1 more correction, "Quattro" from Arch Racing should have been in Pro-Mod.
