Great looking line-up Lee !! No pressure or anything, but now that you have a test track, I expect you to place in the top 3 in any division you race in ;D !! Good luck in the July race !! Lucky 13

PRESSURE? ....PRESSURE? .....I don feel no steenkin PRESSURE !......"Maybe the cars were damaged enroute?" Yeah,I'd be more then pleased with a 3rd (in a field of 2?), but the way you guys run, I'm just happy to be on the same track. It's fun just to see the reactions of my two sons as they see their "Old Mans'" exploits on the silver track. My oldest has started a car but is so busy with his young family that it's taking him forever to finish it, and his younger brother is about ready to put the wheels on his, but again, his job is putting a crimp on free time,so his car, too, is taking longer than expected. But, with the test track being moved to his basement (bigger than mine), I think that should cause the Pinewood Fever to flair a little hotter. Time will tell. As far as July's race is concerned, "The proof of the pudding is in the eating thereof". We'll see... Lee

Lee, your cars are gorgeous. You are one heck of a craftsman... I wish my cars had one tenth the style of yours!

Well, Slo', when your family has grown up and moved out, and it's just you and the little lady you married, there's time to sit and whittle. She's into quilting, so my quiet time is spent with a block of wood. So far, they've been "trailer queens", but that's ok. The hardest part is doing what the minds' eye sees, and when you make a car, there's a whole lot of wood left in that block. It's a progression of "what ifs' ". Thanks for looking at my cars, and the kind words FAST..... Man, you don't make a Toob big enough! I need a parking garage Lee PS. here's the sister to the latest car (Blu-N-Wyte) See what I mean by more than 1 car from a block of wood?

Lee, your work is an inspiration to all of us. Maybe you would be interested in putting on a "workshop" at the Bluegrass?

You know, Sapp, that when I started in this pinewood stuff last January, I started with a "clean piece of paper", so to speak. My first race was with Toyota (my employer), and I built a "show car" that was good enough to win my district, but not good enough to win the regional event. Since that time, I've sort of "raised the bar" if you will. I knew then that I was beyond the Cub Scout level of competition. I was the little kid dreaming of pitching in the Majors. Well, this IS the Majors, and like a rookie I feel like I'm invading territory held by the giants of the trade. That you like what you've seen, is humbling.
Although I visit outher sites from time to time, this one has become "Home" for me. I enjoy the conversation with you guys whenever it comes, and the exchange of ideas and answered questions is wonderful. I know this place is frequented by the little people, but it is the big ones that I'm playing with now and that's where my mind-set is. I'd really like to win, but it's NOT neccesary! From the comments and praises I've received, I feel like a winner already. I think if you bring quality to the game, the game will follow suit
I think I'll stick around for awhile...
Lee
