Here's a quick look at my new July car Haven't decided on a color yet. I'd like to send this to the Bluegrass, but won't be able to attend in person. Is there anyone who'd be willing to be my proxy starter? Please drop me a PM if you can. Thanks very much Lee

Here it is with a little bit of color This little fella sparkles! Had to add a couple more holes because of weight concerns Now it's time to mount the wheels and get in some track time before being sent to the "races" Lee

Lee,
That is beautiful. It looks fast just standing there. Great work.

Thanks gentlemen ProQuest; looking fast and being fast are two very different scenarios. 'twould be nice to have both in the same package FAST; Thanks for the tip, guess I'll have to build another (?) car and give the toothpicks a try BTW, been thinking about painting the chin mount white pearl. Might go well with the white wheels I want my old life back ...... Lee

Lee, the car looks great as is...... I've always felt that "less is more" The cool unique shape & holes are eye-catching enough... when you add the white wheels I think you'll be amazed how the simple contrast pulls it all together.....IMHO

Ahhhh,,the paint table... really an inexpensive device that keeps the paint dust off the car when spraying, it rotates, and you can flip the car easily, too. I just got a cheap Lazy Susan from a crafts store and some 6" x 6" shelving brackets from Home Depot (get a lot of stuff and ideas from there). I just cut off one end of the bracket at the middle of the screw hole. Instant axle locater. The wooden platform allows a variety of places to put the brackets for whatever wheelbase you have at the moment(What?? you're gonna build ANOTHER ONE??) The completed car. You really gotta see the paint in the sunlight. The metallic gold/silver specs literally "pop" out of the blue paint FAST; You're right, less is more, so no white chin mount Lee
