Well here it is race day and I'm kinda surprised. I have not heard much excitement on this forum about our first race of the season. Maybe this is old hat to the old hands, but to this newbie, I'm ready to "get it on". I want to thank Spacewalker for all his help getting me ready for the race. I know he and I will be competing but still he did great, I hope, at tuning the car. I've heard two different race start times, one was starting at 1:00PM then another was around 5:pm. Could someone clarify? Wish all the racers good luck, that is until their racing "Twister 1".

Texas,
I know I am all excited it is race day. I think it has been a little quiet around here do to many people putting on clinics for scout races. I know I put two on in the past week alone. Lets of people are viewing the site! Just some people are worn out at the end of the day and just want to read.
Spacewalker is awesome, he is a great competitor. He is the type of guy that will help you build a car and that car will run as fast as or faster then his own. I am proud to call him my friend!

I forgot to say, but the race will start at 5 central time. This month is the odd month because Mr. Slick had several scout race he was hosting this month.

That should have put a bearing car in the 2.70's range? I wonder if the angle is right?

None of the supports for the incline were loosened or modified from Evo's set-up.
Because of the delay to to snow/ice storm, we were pushing to move things along. We leveled the track and it was tight.
We were getting some wiggle on some cars. Most of the wiggle could be caused by my staging and/or a car by its side. My cars stuck like glue but I put a ton of drift on my cars because of uncertanty w/o a long track.
Got to get to work. Reply later with more.

Had a great time at my first proxy race. It was great meeting a lot of you guys on the chat line and the effort Murph and all the guys put into getting the track set up and going was far beyond expectitions. My hats off to all. Man that Evolution is a fast dude, got to try harder if I'm going to try and run with him.
