Well, Shawn ran council today and got smoked by 0.060 seconds by the father/son that beat him last year. The speed of this car, that beat Shawn, would equilibrate to 2.900 seconds at PWDR. Just a smokin' fast car that beat him. The third place car was 0.010 seconds behind Shawn. Shawn's car is the one that we did the Derby Dust testing on and has previously run at PWDR with powder @ times in the high 2.95s. The Father and Mother of the winning Scout's car, ran the council race. They put the cars far in back so nobody could look at the cars. You could not even take pictures of the cars. Naturally, I raised hell. I told the district representative to pull both the first place and Shawn's car apart. She said she is going on "Scouts honor". The parents contended that the car was "straight out of the box with no modifications. Another chapter in my book to get our council to understand rules and put proper protocol in place. Most of you have been there too! Anyway, we had a good time and Shawn's car is pretty darn fast for doing most of the work himself. I cut the weight pockets out for him and he did the rest of the work with my guidance. Murph

I am sure you and your Son are taking your second place with honor and true sportmanship Murph, but I could barely beat that car when it ran at the PWDR. That time would beat everybody in the limited class so far this year... so what do you think is the story? light wheels? oil & light wheels?
