What can I say? If Steve from Derby Monkey were Catholic, I'd nominate him for Sainthood! LOL! Steve.... you are one patient and caring person! Thank you so much for hosting our pack's workshop on Saturday!
My plan was for the boys to come with their cars ready to "test and tune". We would be making final adjustments to nearly finished cars. Unfortunately... the parents in our pack had OTHER ideas! My "test and tune" turned into major heavy duty work. I think that Steve helped to actually BUILD more then one car on Saturday! Steve was so helpful and patient and encouraging. I wanted to choke people-- but Steve just hustled, getting everyone the help that they needed. We were there for FOUR hours and nearly made Steve late for the Cowboys game. So, thank you , Steve!
Steve's wife, Erin, is a doll-- she is so nice and pretty. Bless her heart-- I know that she was sick of all of us, but she just put a smile on her face and kept helping everyone get the stuff they needed. I am glad that Ethan and Landry got to be friends-- Ethan had fun hanging out with him. If we ever get to travel to a race like Bluegrass Nationals, then Ethan will already have a friend that he knows!
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Steve! Derby Monkey is an awesome place. Several of the scouts told me that they had never seen a place like that and that they liked going there. I know that their cars will be all the better for it! I hope that all of your hard work will pay off at the District race-- Go Pack 323!!!
