I have not been on much lately-- been so busy and my daughter has been real sick. Hubby out of town (he always leaves when things are craziest, hmmm....). Anyway-- I just wanted to let you know the results of Ethan's PWD race! I was so nervous, because he would accept only limited help from me. So, holding my breath, I watched race after race on Saturday. Ethan was undefeated in 15+ races! Only a couple of them even came close. Ethan won first in Webelos I and first in the over all pack!
I still need to get a picture of his car posted. It turned out very well. Thank you sooooooo much to everyone who gave advice and support! Ethan's district race is in March, so I will be around for a while yet. We need to "tweak" his car for districts (our pack does not impound, so we can tinker some more).
Oh, and I had one father come up to us and ask if he could see Ethan's car. His little boy is a Tiger and I knew from watching his car that he had not put weight in it (it barely finished it's races). The dad stared asking questions and I was more then happy to share. I told him about this website, the Maximum Velocity website with the newsletters (and that is where I got the tungstun putty, which made weigh in so much less stressful!). It felt nice to help someone out. I told them that if they wanted, I would be sure to lend a hand next year! I hope that the dad comes here to get some EXPERT advice-- they seem like a super nice family.
THANKS GUYS!!!!! Now, we are on to District to defend Ethan's Overall title! I am excited (can you tell)! LOL!
