Hey Steve (Evolution),
Have you heard anything about the race. Wasn't the check in last Monday? I'm hoping that my car arrived in one piece and in time, passed inspection, and that some youngster had fun racing it. Has anyone heard anything about the race? Just wondering.
Steve H.

I have not been in contact with him. I just got done working 72hrs strait. He had told me that he would send me some pictures so that I could post them. That is the last I heard from him.

Yes, it's starting to sound a little suspicious now. At first, I was kind of mad that Evolution didn't give me the guys address to donate a car but, now following this thread, I'm starting to feel good that he didn't give it to me. However, I still hope that this guy didn't pull a scam on everybody who donated and just simply hasn't had time to get back with Evolution on the results. Hyperdrive

Well Im sorry if you felt offended. I to am starting to feel that I got suckered too. I have not heard back from him and have emailed him several times. I am sorry if people feel that they may or may not have been taken by this guy. I still try and feel that I helped kids in need and not that I was taken.

I say, "Have Faith." I have found that those who do lots of volunteering are frequently the busiest and take the longest to respond to "non-critical" communications. Helping out is the critical part, the youth involvement is a critical part, getting back to us is not critical since it does not impact on the program delivery and our part is complete. Getting back to us so we can have a "feel good moment" is a lot like the volunteer recognition that is so often over looked in other groups. I would like to thanks and acknowledge everyone who sent in some spare cars for the kids to race and for taking the time and spending the money to get them shipped. We already did our hard part. So, all that being said, give the guy a break and have more patience and a positive attitude about your generosity -- you guys did great! A BUSY volunteer. Warren.

I agree Warren !! I look at it this way...Evolution only asked for "scrap" cars, not our best ones or even good ones for that matter. I've meet Evolution Racing and his family and they are great people. If I got took, then I got took, but I'm not placing any blame on Evolution, I have no doubt at all that Steve was just trying to do something good. The cars I sent weren't important to me anyways, they were just sitting in my office collecting dust. I just keep thinking positive and hoping that the cars did serve their intended purpose.
