Alright guys and gals !!! It's time for roll call. Who's ready to race in July?? I have a couple new cars ( big axle mod and a car for the new stock class). Hoping to keep "Black Sunshine" running good. Still trying to figure out what's going on with my Hot Rod?? I knew I should have left the alignment alone ;D. Hoping to see another great turnout !!!

Hey guys, you might see a new car for July........me. I really like the live feed with audio, everyone has been very nice to me and it looks like this is an up and coming league that might have the best competition around. I appreciate everyone accepting me into the board.

I'll be there with at least 3 in July. A rookie (or 2), possibly a Limited and definitely one for the new Stock division. This is getting good. I'm predicting 70 cars. Good racing and good luck to all.

I'm going to take my HR66 to BSA summer camp "up north" next week - maybe I'll find some time to get the carving finished. . . and have it ready for July!

Given the advent of the new Stock division, we took a brief timeout from working on the Semis to reconfigure DKL for Stock and we'll be sending her up for the "inaugural" division race. I spent a couple hours with the older boy last night polishing up some new axles and aligning the new (lightened) wheels. Last time she came up configured for our local Council rules (no 3 wheeling, no coned hubs, no beveled axle heads, no lightening of wheels, etc.) so it'll be interesting to see how she runs with those features. We ended up having to offset the front wheels a little bit (one all the way forward, one further back) since the front end was so thin that there wasn't enough wood to drill a raised hole near the front We did have better luck aligning both sides (she runs either side up) in the 3 wheel configuration than we did with her previous setup. Now, back to the Semi...

I put my cars in the mail yesterday. Should be enough time for them to get there before racetime.
I sent "The Grump" (Hot Rod 66) and "Grumpy's Toy II" (Pro Stock).
I also sent a Stock car in to see how it does. It is a car that I raced at a local race earlier this month. I don't have a name for it yet, but I'll come up with something before raceday. It looked decent when I finished painting it, but before I finished installing the wheels and alignment, it looked like it went thru the Big One at Daytona. It has a set of AWANA wheels on it that I lightened myself. They weigh about 1.7 grams.
I'm kinda anxious to see how it runs, but I don't expect it to run with the SS's or the 1g wheels.
If you've been wanting to see how a car you ran at a local event would run, you still have plenty of time to lube and align it and send it in.
Join the fun!!!
Phil

As of my lunch hour, she's in the mail ;D Look forwarding to seeing how she does with a less restrictive setup. I need to forward a PM to Warren to see if we can run 'er twice again. My money is still on the Luigi side being faster, but Donkey Kong might be a little closer behind this time.

My new stock division car, "Sensei" is nearly complete. I'll put the finishing touches (namely paint, wheels and axles) on her this weekend, and hopefully have her in the mail by mid-day Monday. She's another experiment, and like "Wasabi" I'll find out whether she's fast when everyone else does on the 8th. There is no thrill quite like watching a car you've built race for the first time and not knowing what to expect. Good luck to all.

Hey Steve, don't forget about the holiday, hate to see you miss out like I did. I am still hopeful I can be there in MN, at least I have one car in my possession right now, maybe I will personally drive it up and put it on Scott's doorstep.
