The 2016 rules seemed fairly well suited for the Cub Scouts building and racing.
I'm needing any comments for changes for the upcoming season.

Still the best scout oriented rules in the nation!

I'm giving a short workshop for new builders on Monday Dec 5th. One thing we'll do is go over the rules line by line to help prevent any issues at check-in. I'm using 2016 rules. Is that correct?
Second. Section 2 Body, line "2.5" clarification needed. This talks about the car body not being able to extend beyond the starting pin. Does this mean that one could or couldn't cut a 3/16" deep V in the front so the 1/4" pin lays in the V as long as the body doesn't extend beyond the "downtrack" face of the pin? What I mean is, can the body extend at all along the sides of the pin but not out passed the pin?
