It was a really fun race this past Sat. But I really need to get an earlier start on the cars next year. My little guy really enjoyed using the rattle cans to paint his car. He is definitely getting to be more help on the car. We came in 1st in one age group and sort of tied on the other. (unofficially of course) As you can see we got the 2nd place trophy. But he was happy with it. All is well. Thank you everyone. Synergy Oh - does anyone know of a track that can be used in the Roanoke to Lynchburg area of VA? My brothers & I would like to race all the kids cars and need to find a track in that area around Christmas. Attachments:

Nice cars! What are the "torpedos" in the back? Just decoration and weight or some other purpose?

What are the "torpedos" in the back?
They are fishing weights. The kids thought they looked cool. And I used them to adjust my COM (center of mass). One car it is sitting all the way back, making the COM aprox 1" from the rear axles. The other car was lighter wood and the weight is a little forward. W/ COM at about 3/4". If I had left the weight all the way back that car would have been set at .5" or closer. Some of the guys here run it pretty aggressive but I didn't think I needed to for our race. Thanks for asking. Synergy
