This was last years entry. He wanted a fast candy bar! Moved wood from behind back axle to the front and ended up with a 7/8 inch COM. Weight was a 3oz tungsten round. The body ended up being a 1/4 inch pine sliver with Balsa to make up the volume to hide the tungsten round. It was fast enough to take first in his age category. We build the car to weigh 4.9 oz at home, then add lead tape at weigh in to come to 5. If you find yourself trying to shave weight the day of the race, you only do it once! Attachments:
