Hi everyone,
I looked at the points standings for 2013 that were recently posted.
What is the significance of the teams listed in red?
Thank you,

Those that are in red are those that are currently in a qualifing position for the finals. Each racer could earn two spots in the finals by earning a spot in the first and second half of the season.

Gold,
I might have spoken to quickly. That is the way it was done last season, but there might be a change in how things are being counted and how the championship is decided. Answers will be coming shortly.

I'm unaware of changes.... but I have been thinking of going to a points for a year end race in November and then an open race for December. I am just going to focus on racing every month and helping others get better at the racing. ;D Ideas?

My suggestion would be a process with two ways of winning: one way with National Championship Points and one with National Championship Race. Points Championship Racing The first Championship is to run the year for accumulated points though October. The racers get to throw-out one month. Thus, you would have nine months of racing points. The highest points for nine months would win. January was light in turnout so you would essentially have eight months of racing to get your points if we get higher participation for February-forward. National Championship Race Run in November. Open to everyone. I mean everone. Bring it on Boys. We are not afraid of heat. That means the fastest racers in the US can run for the National Championship under the simple PWDR Racing Rules. Trophies would be handed out to first through sixth place in both championship races. That way, more racers would get acknowledged for doing a good job and just have fun racing. Just Race, Have Fun, Do it. Murph
