5Kids,
There will be no give me classes that is for sure. I know that everyone wants to be the champion. This is what we all worked so hard for all season. Finding a little speed here and there.
While Sky and I have been fast in bearings most of the year, we are not going to rest on that. We will work hard to prepare the cars and maybe have a chance at winning against the best.
Limited, pure stock, modified all the classes we will be working hard on to try and be at the top. I know there are so many racers here that can win the championships that we will be putting in many long hrs till the race.

With Monday being a postal holiday I sent my 6 cars Friday. It has been a disappointing last two weeks for prepping my cars! None are meeting my expectations. I can't figure out what has happened. I am significantly slower than my previous runs on my track, as much as 0.03 seconds! I have re prepped wheels and axels, realigned and reset drift - all to no benefit. I have lost my mojo (what little I had).
I built a 454, and with no references for this class I don't know where I am with it. It also does not meet my expectations so I have named it "Slow Motion". We will have to see on the 17th how this class runs. It is rock solid with a COM of .55 inches. It has the SRG93 axels polished to 12K plus Jig-a-loo, and GPLK100 oil. BSA/USA wheels, Spacewalker bore prep, legend and liquid glass. Alignment is good with 3 degrees camber and wheels stay out going forward and back. I settled on a drift of 7-8 inches at 7 feet.
So, there we are - 2 Pro Mods ( Polka Dot Dream and Broken Heart), 1 Pro Stock (Blue Diamond), 1 HR 66 (My Concept), 1 Mills Craft (Cyc's Factory Special) and my new 454 (Slow Motion). Good luck everyone!

Man you are ahead of the game Cycrunner. I don't even have half of my cars done yet. I ran my 454 similar to yours... 93 axles, same'ish bore prep and maybe a 3/4-1" Com.... I am running Maximum velocity wheels though....

My 454 has yet another combination different from you and 5 kids. Have BSA's up front, Awanas out back. It too is rock solid, but has a little more COM than yours Bruce. ;D

I am behind. I have nothing together and I am prepping wheels tonight. I haven't even started a body for the 454 class so I think it might have to wait for me. If I do one there will be no paint on it, but I think it will have to wait till the next race if it is voted in as a class.

Just sanded smooth and buffed and polished with Carnuba wax.

Well I am getting closer to being ready. It took me all day but I polished some wheels. They are as slick as I can make them. Now to get my axles done. I am going to check them all and polish a new set for my HR66.

The economy is certainly down. I know that all of us are certainly struggling because of the economy.

Alot of the big companies have started buying equipment in the last year or two.... Boeing, GM, Ford, CAT, etc.. and all of their first tier suppliers are buying new equipment or refurbishing the stuff that got sold off in the downsizing. We are busier than we have been the entire 20 years I have worked here.. It is all a viscous circle that is coming back around.
