I was watching the livestream on Saturday. I have noticed in the past and again on Saturday a racer (I'm sorry, I didn't mean any single racer I meant in general) standing on the staging platform when the race was being run. I don't think this is a good practice. I feel if you want to see how your car tracks, you can do it from the side on the floor. You have a much better view than anyone of us watching the livestream. If the platform is not clear and the pin drops the race should be re-run. If it happens to the same person the 2nd time, it should be an automatic DQ. Any thoughts??

Bill from my trips to the shop for live races I know Evo has said he didn't want anybody standing on the platform but I have seen more than one do it.

I have asked people in the past not to stand on the staging platform while the cars are being launched. I also watch for this during the races.
So this issue has been addressed, now that being said sometimes a person will be up on the staging area during the launch because they are staging cars for the next heat. Sometimes in classes that have lower number of cars a person will stay on the stage and cars will be brought to them. This is normally myself or Cash Racing. By doing this it speeds up the amount of time it takes to stage cars and makes for a shorter race day.

I didn't see much of the livestream. Computer issues.
I don't know whom is being discussed but the only person who should be remaining up there is Steve or whomever is staging proxy cars. It makes little sense for that person to have to keep going up and down the stairs, especially near the end of the night for classes that they are the only one staging for.
After 6+ hours of constantly walking and standing, Any stairs that can be cut out shouldn't be that much of an issue.
I know when I've been there helping out that by the end of the night my back is shot.

I have a side issue with the live streaming. I would like the person manning the video camera/computer to leave the race times visible to us at home for a longer time for each heat for us to record the results before moving the camera back to the staging area. I see no reason for moving the video camera away so quickly - another ten seconds would help as some of us want to write down the times as the heats progress. Thanks for that!

Cycrunner,
How are you viewing the livestream? If you log into the forum on the day of the race, the race video and the computer screen used for timing are always up.
It is a split screen. The left side shows the computer used for timing and it is always up. The right screen is used to watch the cars racing. There is also a live chat you can log into and chat with other guys watching the race. There is no need to go anywhere else except the forum on the day of the race.
I have extended the time on the race software so that it does not cycle to the next race for 15 seconds. If we were to take any longer then this we would be all day racing.

That's what I do - use the forum. As the times show up for each car I start to write them down - then sometimes before I can finish the video camera moves to the staging area. Not sure if extending the time on the race software would help if the camera moves away too quickly.

Cycrunner,
Do you see two screens during the race? If so the one on the left never leaves the computer screen as it is not a camera shot, it is a direct broadcast of the screen.
Also I normally post all the results within 1 hr of the race ending. This contains the heat results every car. The information you are looking for is contained in the individual car results. You can see how each of your cars did in each heat. You can also look at the heat results to see how the others cars did in that heat.

Would it be possible to video the final heat results for the end of the videos???
I see them live, but not on the finished video.
