Hi all. I'm a Cub Scout leader from Ohio that got the PWD bug a couple years ago. This past weekend, I picked up a 1 lane 42' Best Track with timer, in order to get a little more serious about tuning my car. This will also allow my son to be more involved with tuning his car next year.
Both last year, and the year before, I ran an unlimited class car in our Pack derby and won. I ran needle axles with RSNX wheels, and ran just under 2.85 seconds, without having a test track or tuning board. I'm really looking forward to next year's derby, and I am considering getting into proxy racing.
Thanks to the pinehead that sold me the track and let me know about this forum.
Tim

Welcome! I personally think needle cars are the most fun cars to build!

Tim,
We are glad to have you on the forum. The league is located in Zanesville, Ohio, so we are not that far away. Our next race is coming quickly, but if you came down with a couple of your cars I am sure we can find a class for them. We have lots of great guys on the forum that are always willing to lend their ideas and thoughts to help other, so please ask as many questions as you would like.
