It has been brought to my attention that there are some new wheels on the market that have material removed from the inside of the wheels, but appear to be stock.
PWDR rules do not allow for any material to be removed from the inside of the wheels in Pure Stock and Limited. I want to remind the racers that these wheels will not be allowed in these classes. We have purchased a thickness gauge to measure the thickness of any wheels that are in question. We are now able to measure the thickness of any part of the wheel.
If a car is discovered to have wheels that have material removed from the inside of the wheel, they will not be allowed to race. If you are unsure if the wheels you have purchased have had material removed from the inside, please contact the vendor you purchased them from.

Thanks for the update/rules clarification Steve.
It's great that at PWDR builders can find out what is and isn't legal before they spend their hard earned money. Times are still tough and who wants to spend money on a set of wheels that can't be used.
