I've been watching the racing on the Youtube site. How tall is the track? It looks substantially taller than the Best and Freedom tracks we've raced on. I've found that the racing surface is longer than our Freedom which is 32 and a finish line at 30. Thanks in advance

It is a 42 foot best track that has a custom lift level system on it that Mr. Slick built. I do not have the height measurement for you, but Mr. Slick might be able to jump in and provide that.
Once I have the track set up I will be able to provide that info.

Thanks, that helps me understand the incredibly fast speeds I'm seeing. On our regular freedom, the track record is 2.543 at around 214 mph. When I saw the records here in the forums I thought "man we are slow!" Guess not so much given the difference in tracks.

I am working on securing the location, that might take me a couple more days. I am trying to secure a space that is 2400+ sq in a nice shopping center, so it might be a couple more days before I can annouce the location.
The mailing address for proxy cars is 925 friendship Dr. New Concord, Ohio 43762. This will be posted in another thread either today or tomorrow.
I am working very hard to make sure the league has a great home and that the racing will be second to none.

The entire track is raised about two feet off the floor. This makes the starting point higher so we need a stand but the picking up of cars at the end is MUCH easier for those of us who are over the age of 11. There would be no time difference with the same track that is "on the floor" since their geometries would be identical.... just a lot of sore backs at the end of the day. Elevating the track also helps with spectator visibility of the races when there are kids on the floor in front of the seated parents.
