Well, I was going to the peachtree derby this coming saturday but my wife has just found out that she might have ovarian cancer. She is only 34 years old and will be having surgery to remove whatever it is next thursday july 12th. Please just keep my family in mind during that day. We have a 10 year old daughter and a 2 year old son. Thank you, Tory Johnson

We'll be raising your family's needs in prayer.
Thanks for sharing your needs and concerns with us.
Just ask if there is anything else that we might be able to do to help.

Doc:
I echo the sentiments of everyone above.
We will keep you in our prayers and encourage you to stay strong, esp. in front of the little ones. Keep an extra close eye on the 10 year old (from our experience that age is old enough to understand the seriousness, but maybe not mature enough to handle it well without some extra "Daddy time").
Please keep us posted on the progress, to the extent you wish to share such information.
We went through a similar situation with my wife a few years ago, and since then circumstances like this tend to get "stuck" in my thoughts until we hear the "all OK". Hopefully, that will be very soon for your family.

Surgery for my wife is over. It took a little over 2 hours to complete. It was a little more complicated than the doctor expected. She had an ultrasound one week ago and the mass measured 14cm, when he removed it today, it had already grown to over 20cm. There will be some testing of whatever it was so we dont know yet what it is. It also had wrapped around her bladder and other organs so they had to really get in there and cut her bladder, removed the left ovary and part of the right. The good news is that he was able to save her uterus and part of the right ovary so at least she wont have to go through menopause at an early age or take hormones. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for showing support for my family and I.

Tory,
I pray that the doctors were able to remove all the cancer, and that your wife will recover completely.
I also pray that He will watch over your family during the recovery process.
May God Bless your family.
Phil
