Results are posted here - check the bottom three labeled CBD (Chief Black Dog).
While I'm not exactly sure how everything went (Warren could fill us in), my sons car Speeder II took first in the open division- -He was excited to get a nice trophy for it.
Thanks Warren!

Yes, there are lots of photos that I will get posted probably after the races this week. My head is just starting to slow down spinning after last week. This week is booked solid for any time after I get home from work. . . Monday I was cabby and at the troop meeting. Tuesday was shuttle bus driver and then troop committee meeting -- I wish the troop would be able to get done before 9:30. . . need some more sleep! Tonight is Girl Scout Service Unit registration, around 140 cars. Tomorrow is a race for a church group. Friday night is the race for the Girl Scouts. Last year the races lasted about 90 minutes! They were flying! So, sometime Saturday afternoon I expect to get soem photos uploaded from the last weekend. I already have a CD from the CBD race and I have photos from the PwdRacing League, so it is just me not getting a "round-to-it" . . . That reminds me, I need to order another trophy. . . Thanks everyone for helping to make this years Distract race a fantastic event. . . . I was asked to do a neighboring districts race next year. . . there goes another weekend! ;D Oh, I figured out what the deal was with the speeds at the CBD races. . . they were all slow. . . the scale factor had been changed in GPRM! I reset it to the same as the rest of the year's races before posting the results.

Warren, Do you ever meet yourself coming and going. You know, Like the old Dunkin Doughnut commercials." Time to run the pinewood derby", "I already ran the pinewood derby". What a schedule, it's crazy.

But FUN! I do find it rewarding when the kids have a great time and the adults can have fun too with out being too serious! I am thankful for the Open division cars/trucks it really quited down a lot of the formerly boastful adults when they saw that the Cub Scout division was just a beginning. I explained that it was the first of 5 regular divisions. . .

Well, I got the PwdRacing photos posted for April 15th. See them at: www.pwdracing.com/photos/20070415I used a share ware tool to generate the thumbnails, I haven't paid so it puts the watermark on it. . . . if it is ok I could actually pay to get the watermark "feature" disabled. I do like the "watermark" of the PwdRacing logo that Warthog added to the record photos. I'll work on getting the records photos up to date during lunch tomorrow. . .

...Go Bubba Go sent some cars didn't he? Team Bubba sent a few cars for display purposes (including Ramone ;D), and from what Warren tells me Ramone was quite the "musical hit" (something about a PA system?). We also sent the 2 Semi's for the Semi race, although from the pictures it looks like the one from Pack 204 really deserves the title of "Big Rig". How big is that thing, anyway??? "Big Jimmy" would be proud. Might have to build us one of those ;D

Ramone was a hit - literally! I put one of the mics for the PA down by it and started it up. . . the whole room was filled with the song! The semi big rigs were sold by the BSA in 2000-2004? They are still available from the manufacturer: www.betacrafts.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=31Each Kit includes: Plans and Instructions Material to Make Tractor Trailer 18 Wheels and 10 Axles Dowels for Stacks and Tanks One Pivot Pin Templates to Cut the Sides of the Tractor The costs are around $11 each plus shipping etc. I think that for August we should have an 18 wheeler race. Yes, it must have all 18 full width wheels and a working king pin that is provided . . . . . It would give everyone something to do this summer.

Let's set our rules for this early. I would have for someone to go off on their beaten path and then realize that they are not in conformance with weight or something.
