Yeah, I was surprised too. Looks like they have the 3oz for 14.99 and the 2 oz for 10.99
They are new from PINECAR.
Small incremental plates. They look very compact.
I was killing time and thought to look see what Pinecar had, these were a pleasant surprise.

I too was at Hobby Lobby today and saw that they do now have tungsten plates. I was as surprised as anyone. They had their paints and airbrush stuff 30% off without coupon. I know a lot of you guys use Createx.

Thanks guys for the info.
The local Hobby Lobby didn't have the Createx on sale, at least per the employee who seemed perturbed that I even asked.

Our Hobby Lobby also had the all airbrush equipment and paint at 30% off. I passed on the paint, but purchased 3 oz of tungsten for $9.00 (After the 40% coupon off the original price of $14.99).
Thanks for the tip.
Does anyone know what the diameter is of pine car axles?

Thanks for the tip. Does anyone know what the diameter is of pine car axles? M. Dodson Hello, I checked the weight, dimensions, and the density of the Hobby Lobby Tungsten. It has a density similar to the 1/4" tungsten cubes that I had in the tool box. If you can fit the physical dimension of the Hobby Lobby tungsten into your car design, it is a good value. However, the tungsten cubes still provide more flexibility in weight placement. I will most likely be using a combination of both in future cars. BTW, the density of lead is 11.35 mg/ cu mm. Mike,
The next time I need a spreadsheet or some measurements, I know who I am going to.

Mike, The next time I need a spreadsheet or some measurements, I know who I am going to. I concur. I was at Hobby Lobby tonight and used two 40% off coupons on 3oz tungsten and a bottle of that new XLR8 graphite. Might as well test it out since we have to use graphite at our pack race. Starting Monday they will have all Pinecar items 30% off for the week. So if you wanted to use the 40% coupon you need to use it tonight or wait a week for the extra 10% steepslope

Mike, The next time I need a spreadsheet or some measurements, I know who I am going to. I may not be able to build a fast car, but I can build a spreadsheet fast. Just let me know what you need. MWD
