I can agree w that..and maybe raising the 25 pt limit.I do think the prostock rules should stand.... ? how many rookie builders use tungsten??? That doesn't sound like rookie to me? no offenses to whom that does.. I do apologize for the debate on rule change subject lets just all have fun!

Around here tungsten is the way to go if you want to be at the top of the class in your BSA District races. Not to mention that there are a few Hobby stores in the area which are offering pinewood supplies from Pinewood Extreeme.

Sometimes you have to make concessions for the older people.
After all what else would he do now that he is retried?
Buckeye, was that necessary?

Leap of faith? How about letting the builder decide when to move out of rookie? Then no need to change rukes for limited. I have a feeling that peer pressure would resolve any problems before "The League Officials" would have to step in. . . . another thread?
Since there are a number of families racing under a single "builder" name. . . the new "kid" may want to stay rookie while the "older" racers want to move on to bigger challenges.
BTW - a family could form a team and each person could be their own "builder" . . . I forsee the team aspect helping to develop closer personal relationships through more actual "team building of cars" where it is multi generational. . . (MY car, but my brother and sister helped me)

Hey guys, Just a thought on the rookie points program. I grew up a bicycle racer and we had a beginner class that was there to get you feet wet and get started, however we did not want any one to stay in that division too long and become a trophy collector and discourage other new racers by becoming intimidated to start out racing themselves. We limited it to 5 wins no matter how long it took to achieve them. This way the top riders in that division could enjoy some success for a given time before "cycling out" to the next higher level and allowing others to take over the top spot in the beginner level. It worked for us. I really like this idea for rookie !! This would be a very fair way to handle it.

Does anyone disagree that the "graduation requirement" of 25 points max for a builder in rookie needs to be changed?

I would agree that the rookie pt limit be raised; might be harder to track but like kajon said ....just an idea-first three places?,can only be taken by a"rookie car" 3 times on a "single" car before its required to advance to another division........
