I love his positive attitude!
Novice/Limited done. Making two versions - one will be full resolution of the camera and the other will be a smaller version that I can load to photobucket.com

Warren, the high res videos are AWESOME!!!
Talk about a great diagnostic help... I can watch Orange Car wobble down the track in crisp detail! Sushi getting smoked by Wasabi! This is soooooooooo cool, especially when it's played back in slow motion!
I don't know if creating the videos in this fashion takes more timei (hopefully not?), but they should really help us builders see how are cars are running. I was at the race and I couldn't see a fraction of what I can see in the slowed down hi-res video...
Thank you!!! Thank you!!! Thank you!!!

I actually believe that I can get the time that it takes me to be the same as the old version. The time it takes the computer to render the entire video is lots longer. . . . but that is what computers are for.
I tried to get a "Who is in the next race" shot before each heat and a "What were the times" shot after each heat. . . .did fairly well - missed about as many as the actual heats that I missed. Just need a dedicated video person. . . any volunteers?
I'm looking for a medium resolution video that isn't as large of a file. . . . or some other idea to get the videos out to everyone.

I can't get any of the videos to play but the top one. The rest of them, my computer turns black for a minute or so then my screen looses most of it's color.

Phil, the hi-res files are very, very big... I'm at work with pretty good download speeds and I'm having trouble getting the Limited video to operate properly... it takes quite a while to load. Last night at home it worked quite well, but I've got an awfully fast internet connection and a newer computer. My guess is that downloading and playing back files that large may be prove a challenge if your internet bandwidth is marginal or if you have an older computer.

Ditto what Slow Steve said. It took 4-5 minutes to load, but the resolution is so clear that you can get great details even in slow motion.
One other item, my windows media player had to download an update before it would play, (something about a CODEC file, whatever the heck that means) you may need to update your player and try again. Once it starts loading, go get a cup of coffee!

Lol... Kelly, I like the way you think! I had the same issues at work on an older, slower laptop; it took a long time to fully download and then the video would skip/jump around a bit. Now that I'm home, they download very quickly and play perfectly... my guess is that large file size will only work well for those with a rather fast internet connection speed and a relatively modern (lots of ram/processor speed/graphics card) computer.
For those of you who can't see the hi-res videos well, you're really missing out... if you can get 'em to work you can slow 'em down (in Windows Media Player) so the cars are virtually crawling down the track and the resolution is high enough to really see what is going on with the cars as they run.
It's probably best to downsize the res/file size so that everyone can see them, but man oh man are those high res files nice!
