Got some pics I wanted to share with you guys. When you look at these and really put into perspective what they show, you soon come to realize how small we really are:
This first pics is a comparison to scale of the inner planets of our solar system with Pluto thrown into the mix. As you can see, the Earth and Venus are relatively the same size and Mars and Mercury and Pluto are smaller.
This second pic shows the solar system beyond Mars, the larger gas planets with the inner planets in the foreground to show the comparison of size. As you can see Jupiter is probably over 500 times larger than the Earth.
OK, are you impressed yet? Feeling a little small? Look at this pic comparing the size of our Sun to all the planets in our solar system. As you can see, Jupiter is probably over a 500 times smaller than the Sun and the Earth is barely visible at this scale.
Well if you thought that is mind boggling check this out! This next pic shows a comparison of other stars in the universe that scientist have found and compare them to the size of our Sun. The large red giant Arcturus is over 700 hundred times the size of our Sun. Earth is invisible at this scale and Jupiter is only one pixel in the picture!
WOW!
But we aren't done yet! Check this out. Antares in this pic is over 700 hundred times larger than Arcturus, our Sun is one pixel in the pic and Jupiter is invisible. Hard to fathom isn't it?
So just how big are you? Ask yourself that the next time you bow your knee to talk to your Father who loves you more than anything. How big is God? Well, He knew you before you were conceived and He knows ever hair on you head and when He stretches his arms apart, he is holding the entire universe in his grasp.
NOW THAT IS BIG!
Humbling isn't it?
