As I sit here on the balcony of my hotel room 12 stories up from the beach and stare out into ocean, it reminds me of how nice it is to get away from the rat race of normal life every once in a while you recharge your batteries. I'm in sunny Myrtle Beach SC. this week. The family and I have taken this trip now for the last 4 years on the week of the Fourth of July. We really love coming here because there is so much for the kids to do and it's great fun. ;D That being said, as I sit here I definitely have realized I have the PINEWOOD BUG because I keep thinking about the set of wheels I need to prep and the axles I need to get polished and all the preperation I need to do to get ready for the next race. Man, I've got it BAD. Anyway, I didn't start this thread to tell you guys about my illness but to rather ask a question as it is vacation season. Where do you guys like to go on vacation? See Ya Scott Beakerboys

Next time you need to pack your own bag full of pinewood goodies. You know how some people pack an ipod and a book to go to the beach, well who's to say you can't bring a cordless dremel and a set of wheel and axles Have fun on you vacation ;D This is my favorite place.....been to the one in Mexico the past 2 years ;D ;D www.oneandonlyresorts.comCheck out the picture gallery

Vacations? What's that?
Let's see, this year it's a long weekend over the 4th down to Huntsville AL for a mini-reunion at my folks, followed the following weekend by 4 days at Webelos Residence Camp, and then the real vacation in Somerset KY over Labor Day Weekend!!!
(hey Lucky, do I get any points for the plug? ;D ;D)

Just got back from a week at Many Point Scout Camp with the troop. manypoint.nsbsa.org/Real Nice!!! Avoid the ticks and mosquitoes would be my advice. Not even cell phone coverage - unless you are silly enough to turn on the phone. . . . . ;D I have to work another 4 weeks before my vacation to the BWCA for a week of canoeing! www.ntier.org/Then a lot of work until the trip SOUTH to Kentucky for some odd reason. . . .

We just did a couple of days at King's Dominion and will finish with a few days at the beach. Man will those old wooden coaters rattle your bones. My crowd really enjoys riding coasters. Maybe we'll do Cedar Point in Ohio next summer. I believe thats the place. Suppose to have some nice coasters.

I use to live about 30 minutes from Sandusky, Ohio and I can tell you Cedar Point is one great place to go !! Lucky 13

I went there years ago and I think my shin is still smashed up from that thing. Bruised ribs, man I thought I was in a fight.

Yeah, me and my son rode the Grizzly. It really beat the tar out of us. He rode the Hurler with my wife and it's a wooden coaster also. She got off with some bruises and scratches and a vow never to ride it again.
