MR. SLICK OR ANY BODY THAT CAN HELP. MY SON AND I SENT 2 CARS FOR THIS MONTHS RACE. WE DO NOT KNOW HOW TO WATCH THE RACES ON SUNDAY. NOT VERY GOOD ON THE COMPUTER MIGHT NEED GOOD INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO DO SO. JK RACING JK RACING, The first thing you need is Yahoo IM w/ voice. Next you need to get a Yahoo IM address and a microphone for your computer. Also I think you need a computer that doesn't have Windows Vista. Windows XP seems to work best. Now I've told you all that I know, so maybe someone else will jump in and help with the rest. When you get everything you need maybe you can do a trial run before race day. Good luck, and if there is anything else I can help with, please feel free to ask. Phil

The basics are:
Yahoo Messanger
Introduce yourself/request to be added to connection with "PwdRacing" user. (i'm not sure the exact steps since I just get the requests. . . . maybe under ACTIONS/SEND MY CONTACT DETAILS/OTHER CONTACT and enter PwdRacing . . .)
Once I get your yahoo user name I will invite you to the audio conference and to view my webcam. To talk to other racers on the audio conference you will need a mic.
There may be better info some where around here.
Hope it helps!

Hey Jk, make sure your computer is not running the vista operating system, it took me a while to figure out it does not support the yahoo messenger voice option.

Hey JK: First, welcome. Second, this may be another way of saying what the prior posts have already said, but I'll share what I did to get video and sound. Step one: Depending on how old your system is, your computer may have come preloaded with Yahoo Instant Messaging. If it did not, you will need to go to the Yahoo Website and download the software. (I don't have the web address, but you can go to www.google.com and type in "Yahoo Instant Messaging" and the official Yahoo website should come up as an option). Download the Yahoo Instant Messaging software. Step two: Once you have Yahoo IM, simply register by following the prompts to create a user name and password. Step three: Once you have a Yahoo user name, send Mr. Slick (a/k/a Warren Kalsow) a message through this board telling him your Yahoo name, and request that he add you to his invitation list to the video and audio conferences for the race. Step four: An hour before race time on the 8th, simply log on to Yahoo IM, and some time prior to the start of the race a window will magically appear on your computer screen extending to you an invitation to join the video and/or audio conference. The video conference usually comes up first, followed by the audio conference. Follow the prompts and you should be in. You will need a microphone to be able to talk with the racers in the audio conference, but not to view the race. And as was stated earlier, the Windows Vista Operating system is not compatible with Yahoo Audio -- the picture will come in but not the audio. I found that out the hard way. I don't know much about computers, and as anyone of the regulars can tell you, I had a heck of a time getting sound, so take what I say with a grain of salt, but it worked for me. Glad you are on board. Good luck with the Yahoo video and audio, and good luck Sunday. ProQuest/Steve H.

Parrot, I'm happy that your cars made it. I think I've had a couple cars that took root at the starting line, and I know for sure that several of my cars were pulling a stump down the track. Good luck Sunday, I know you're getting anxious. Phil

Hey Parrot, Don't worry pines are top dwellers any way. It's the rest of us that may have the deep tap root.
Good Luck on Saturday.

Yes, after missing a month of racing I realized how much I really enjoy it, especially chatting with you guys and comparing notes. Hope everyone does well and I am really looking forward to some fast times from you guys in the new stock division.

Awesome news Parrot. Can't wait to see Twilight run again. Man, that thing can move. How your new Stockers look? This new division will be especially exciting since most, if not all, of the cars in it will be racing for the first time. I tried some totally new stuff in building "Smoke," so I have no idea how she'll run, and "Tabasco" got a major overhaul, so, I really don't know what to expect from her either. But it will be fun. I'm predicting at least a dozen cars for the new division.
Talk to you all Sunday if not sooner.

Hope everyone does well and I am really looking forward to some fast times from you guys in the new stock division. Congrats Parrot on your cars finally surfacing and I hope they are at least in the condition they were when you left them at the Post office oh so long ago. Congrats also on making it through the month I don't know how you made it. You must be very strong. The every other week racing barely keeps me leveled out. Good luck Parrot and everyone else on Sunday.

I know what you mean DaPine, withdrawal was tough!
Steve, my new stocker is going to be very disappointing, I think. You know how sometimes something just doesn't look right? I am just happy to be racing and cannot wait until sunday. It sounds like we are going to have alot of cars, that is awesome.
Phil, can't wait to finally race in a division with you. Take it easy on me.
