Yea,both you guys kicked my butt this last month. I had to re-prep twister II and work my tail off just to try to get back in the good running column. Both of you have found some speed while my car runs like it's dragging an anchor. Anyway good luck to both of you this month and Minions too, I hear he has a new car entered.

I don't know, JJ, that was a pretty fast pure stock. Might have to explain what you did to get it "a little off", so that I can make sure and (ahem) not do that next time.

JJ, I think your post got cut short last time. You were about to explain your new race prep and then it cuts off. Maybe try again? Happens to me sometimes too when the internet is busy

MINIONS I FOUND THAT A THIN COAT OF WAX IS BEST AND I DRY IT IN THE TOASTER OVEN AT 80 DEGREES. I RUN THE CAR FOR AT LEAST 60 RUNS TRYING ALL DIRRERENT DRIFT SETTINGS. THIS CAR WAS REPREPED A MONTH A GO,THATS WHY I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE SLOWER.

J & J, your cars ran super good today. I guess my re-prep didn't accomplish anything. There were several cars running much better than both Twister I & II. Twisted Iron ran great also, but your Pure Stock was in a class all it's own.

THE FENDERS ON THIS CAR ARE EVO REAR FENDERS FROM MY WOOD COLORED CAR THAT FELL OF MY TUNEING BOARD. I CUT THEM OF THE WRECKED CAR GLUED THEM ON AND HAND SANDED FOR A COUPLE HOURS. THIS CAR IS A EVO BODY EVO FENDERS ,AXELS WHEELS BUT I USE MY OWN BORE PREP.

JJ, how much do you think you gain with all the trial runs and getting the drift set just right? Did you keep track of your steer on a tuning board and the times you would see on the track? I'm looking for a " X inches of over steering in 4' correlates to a loss of Y seconds " or something like that. 60 runs is a LOT so just curious the range of results you see when you adjust steering.

MINIONS EVERY TRACK IS DIFFERENT,I SET MY TRACK AT A CONSERVATIVE ANGLE 26.5 DEGREES MY CG IS ABOUT 5/8 . MY CARS LIKE 4.5 INCHES OF DRIFT IN 48 TO 52 INCHES. THE 60 RUNS ISN'T NECESSARY BUT I LOVE WATCHING MY CAR GO. I'M A 68 YEAR OLD KID.
