Thought I would share the builds we did for our local Pack race. After several years of struggling to figure out what it takes to race on a wood track we finally figured out that tuning on our aluminum track and then racing on a wood track was not wise. (We had to put too much steer into the car to stabilize it on the Al track and this caused a loss of speed on the wood track) Last two years we weren't able to win the overall due to this oversight. This year we finally got this detail figured out clean sweeped all the classes: My nephews car the triple fade paint scheme: won Webelos I and overall scout. The rocket car won the sibling division for my other nephew The Case IH car my Dad entered in the commercial division and won I entered the yellow car and won the open class My brother in law entered the red car in the open class and got second. The yellow and red cars will get modified a little bit and entered as my Stock class Pro cars for the Mid-Am race. My nephew built an identical body and paint scheme that we will modify for the Mid-Am rules for him to enter in the scout division. -Jason Attachments:

Simply awesome looking cars -- Jason - there is no doubt that you will have some fast cars this year at the Mid America Pinewood Derby... Congrats on your wins.
I like that Rocket Car too... pretty cool.
