Here is the car I helped my sons friend build that he didn't get to run in the pack race. It would have taken 2nd had it raced! I had him over yesterday and let the kids run their cars for awhile. I even whipped out a few of mine to try and kick their butt, but my 4 month old prep jobs couldn't make the cut It may end up in a PWDR race in the future.

Thanks guys, there's plenty of competition around here in the looks dept! Especially those 2 guys.... one starts with a B, and the other with a 5..... The kid picked 2 of my league cars to come up with the shape. I made him a few different stripe configurations, he chose the stripe colors, and where he wanted everything. He also cut the car himself on my bandsaw, and painted it , and clear coated it on his own! He also helped with the axle polishing. The only thing I did on my own, since we were running short on time, was polish his wheels and tune it! Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. The night before the build he had wanted a Zamboni car! He said he knew it would not be fast, but he wanted one anyway! So I spent a late night putting him together a basis for a Zamboni build. I took one of the drilled BSA blocks I got from Evo, and cut out the weight pockets on my drill press, then cut the whole thing down to 1/4" plank like most of do for our builds. But then I glued on 5 layers of balsa. I also cut the center out of all the balsa pcs. So the entire thing is hollow. I figured I was going to help him make the fastest d**n Zamboni I could When he showed up the next morning, guess what? ... he had decided he didn't want a zamboni anymore. He said he had never had a thin car before. I wanted to reach out and choke him ... just a little bit... ! But as my hands neared his throat, I kept saying to myself... this is for the kids, this is for the kids, this is for the kids, ;D. So I sucked it up and prepared a new body for him to cut out. I think when he saw my sons, he started to get the itch for a top spot! That was ok with me. That was just another reason I wanted to help him out, he didn't have a desire to go in and win, he just wanted to build a car and see it race! For now, I still have this block prepped, so don't be surprised if you see a Zamboni entered in PWDR sometime this year. The kid gave me the itch to see how fast it could be.... I might as well build something with it!!

Give it to EVO and let him clean the track with it!
