Is this a toy or a race car? This Car is my entry for Mid America Pinewood Derby race on April 28th 2012. The car has a Pure Stock wheel base and was built to have fun while attending the race in Omaha. The Car is dedicated to the following: Bill from Derby Worx Steve from Derbyevolution.com Kent of the Shining Light Racing Greg of Mid America Pinewood Derby All four have helped me as well as many others developed their Pinewood Derby skills. Dale,
This car confuses me. I am not sure if I want to watch it race or I want to play the maze game! Either way it is another awesome build.

I'm confused a bit. Won't that ball be in violation of the "moving parts" rule??

Dale, that car is awesome! The maze is such a original idea!
Salad has a good point there! You might have to glue the ball in place if someone wanted to be technical, lol.

What and amazing car. I do have one question? What are the slots at around the 10:00 position for? Can't wait to see it at the Mid America Derby Race.

Nitrious, that would be one quick car. There must be a good reason for the slots, I don't think the first generation had them.

The slots are in the fenders so that the wheels can be measured. In Pure Stock we have a minimum dia rule, so each wheel needs to have access so that they can be measured.

Thanks for the info, it is always interesting to see who top end builders turn out such great cars and still meet the requirements.
