I have been working on a couple new needle cars over the past few months. Hopefully they will make my car line-up sometime soon.... or in November.

Very cool designs. I hacked up my pro-mod trying to find some speed this month. I have to put it back together now.

Is there a reason for the parts surrounding the wheels and where the wheels are mounted or is this top secret? Thanks Jeff

He would have to take you out back if he told you!!! He has the shovel ready!!! LOL!
It looks like he is trying to give support to the needle axles and help with tuning the car. That is my guess.

I have looked at 5 Kids new cars. Once again he has come up with a great new build. He has inspired me to (take, copy, steal) call it what you like.........I prefer to call it reverse engineering..........(I can sleep better that way.)
I like what I see and I think I can do some modifications hopefully and make it a rock solid, easy to maintain set up. I plan to have a set of razors for it like none before.
It will be a while............this will be a pretty extensive undertaking and I'm sure the prototype will have to be modified along the way many times, but this is what this hobby is all about.
I thank you Scott for not being content to keep building the same old, same old. I also want to thank you for giving me yet another sleepless night tossing and turning, thinking about the new build. I know what the goal is and I think together we can accomplish it. ;D

Beautiful cars Scott... talk about taking it to the next level!! Just when I think maybe I'm beginning to understand what it might take to be close to competitive in Pure Stock So even though I have a looooooooong ways to go to build anything at your skill level(if ever), I do have one question... are both cars built to compete in the same class

Thanks for the nice comments and sorry for the late response here... between Spring break vacation and work I am trying to catch up! Is there a reason for the parts surrounding the wheels and where the wheels are mounted or is this top secret? Thanks Jeff Jeff, Evo is right, the needles I am running are very small and will not support themselves so they have to be held by both sides.... that's why you see those parts. He would have to take you out back if he told you!!! He has the shovel ready!!! LOL! It looks like he is trying to give support to the needle axles and help with tuning the car. That is my guess. We have the greatest custom and "outside of the box" thinkers here at the PWDR and that is a great thing. It always isn't about winning or losing, but sometimes it is what you bring to the table. Kool Cars!!!!
Well 5KidsRAcing, you have defiantly inspired me to try to build a car like that. My mind has been running non-stop figuring out a way to do something similar. I have a piece of 1/8”x1”x12” carbon fiber bar that I ordered last year to incorporate in a build and never have. I am going to use it for the outriggers and I have ordered some stainless steel wire that matches the diameter of the needle axles I have. I have also started designing the body, outriggers and weight placement in AutoCAD . I also have come up with a way to adjust for steer on the front DWF. I am not sure how easy the carbon fiber is going to be to cut, but that possible would be the only setback. Well, That and time. I have also already mailed two Pro-Mod cars for this weekend's race that may be fairly competitive. I may get schooled, but feel real good about them right now.

Awesome! I draw all my parts up in AutoCAD before and then print them to scale, cut them out and use them as a template to fabricate the parts. I have never used carbon fiber... good luck!!
