OK guys I have my car here and yet to get the wheels and axles needed but I have a few questions. After I run the race and get my car back how in the world do I then tune for the next race? Do you just install the axles with out glue? How would I then polish the axles after they have been installed and or modified to run the rail? Do you guys then start over with new axles and wheels or what? Sorry for running on here but all of this stuff has been running through my head. I don’t think I am asking for any trade secrets.
Also I guess I have to come up with a race team name and car name?
Thanks

I do not believe anyone is glueing their axles in. If you drill a good axle hole with a #44 bit the axle will stay in place. Most people just polish their axles once, there really is no need to repolish them unless you find something new to polish with and then it might be better to start with a new set.
Since Spec/ tuner is a graphite class, you might never need to take the wheels off the car as you can relube without removing the wheels.

Kiatia,
Like Evo said, you shouldn't have any issues with loose axles if the hole is drilled right, plus, the Spec/Tuner bodies are cut from poplar which seems to hold good and not loosen up like pine will. If you do run into problems, instead of putting glue directly in the axle hole, take the #44 drill bit and drill a hole in the bottom of the car into the axle hole, insert the axle and then use a drop of white glue or even epoxy in that hole to hold the axle in place. It will hold the axle tight and be a lot easier to break loose if/when you need to.
You will need a race name and a name for the car !!
