steepslope - I'm not experienced with running the wheels inside out. I know why it's done - but I'm not sure how it done without a bushing. Do you just rely on negative cant to keep the inside face of the wheel off the body?

Wheels are run in reverse as the solid part of the wheel is the strongest (no flex). If your wheels are set up properly to migrate to the nail heads they shouldn't rub the body. I might be wrong here, as I never ran Pure Stock, but I think I read this some where?

The SS wheels are stronger but still have considerable flex. Because the SS wheels are flat, and assuming the wheels are set up correctly so the wheels migrate out, the wheels "should" not come into contact with the body. I have not run the SS wheels in reverse so I will be testing first to track the benefit of doing so. steepslope

Every time I have tried it, the car has slowed down ? I think with the SS wheels being more ridgid, reversing them has no benefit. This is just my experience with them, you all may have better luck than me !! Lucky 13

There is nothing worse than having to strip the primer/paint/clear off a car and start over . I've had the same thing happen and just get so aggravated with it that I end up throwing the car away !! I finally am to the "tuning" stage for my spec/tuner car. I call it "Andromeda". I wanted the PWD and STAR cutouts to stand out so I placed a small piece of aluminum foil under the top cover to highlight those cutouts. The picture on the top rear is the Andromeda galaxy- so I chose that name.

Here are a few Spec Tuners coming out of our shop. This one is Orange Bandit. It is being raced by my son Chad aka Sugar Dog Racing. Here we have Intemperance. This one is being raced by my other son Bryan aka Team RamRod. And here is my slow entry, Peckerwood. Man do I hate graphite! I used to love it because this is all I knew. I sure don't miss the mess it makes. These cars ran in the Stock class in December's race. We just wanted to get them on the track and see what they would do their first time out. Still lots of tuning to do on them....
