I need some cash and I have some "off spec" weights in various form factors, discs, round rod, flat slabs, small spheres, ribbon cable shaped, etc. I'm looking to get these out to some groups(dens, etc) that could really use them. Minimum quantity is 16 ounces. I figure that 8 cars at 2 ounces per car for a "normal" cub scout car is about right for a den. If you are going to be making a bunch of flat slab cars you will need more than the 2 ounces per car, so just get more. . . These are the easily workable, non-toxic tungsten composites. They just didn't "make the grade" for the normal products. You'll get a special price of $4 per ounce. That is $2.50 off of the suggested list price.

Just don't get into the Cut-Clarity-Carot version!!!! Melting point: 3800 [or 3500 °C (6400 °F)] K Boiling point: 4300 [or 4027 °C (7281 °F)] K from www.webelements.com/carbon/Isolation: carbon is available in nature as graphite and (to a much lesser extent!) as diamond. Artificial graphite is made by the reaction of coke with silica (SiO2). SiO2 + 3C (2500°C) → "SiC" → Si (g) + C(graphite) Artificial diamonds are made by the application of heat and pressure (> 125 kBar) in the presence of a catalyst such as iron, chromium or platinum. It seems that the metal melts on the carbon surface, the graphite dissolves in the metal film, and the less soluble diamond precipitates out. The introduction of nitrogen as an impurity gives yellowish diamonds while boron impurities give bluish colours. A new form of carbon, buckminsterfullerene with formula C60 is formed in the treatment of graphite by lasers and is now commercially available in small quantities.

I was trying to be funny so i will keep my day XXX i mean night job and i was trying to make reference to sat. night live's old cone heads skit were they consumed mas quantities of beer maybe thats were i went wrong! anyway thank you for the chemistry class that i didn't attend in school, but now i want to know temp wise how that compares to lead and if i can melt it with a bottle torch (that i use for pluming). is lead really that bad or does that explain my personal problems? also i would like to get quantity recommendation on how much i need for 40 plus scouts and price. Thank you Jim Evans
What a great web site! so basically this sack of 98% water and carbon life form is totally working with carbon in all aspects of putting a pwd racer together. Who new? and it figures that i would like to play with all the forms of carbon except the one that would make me rich and please my wife!
